Compatibility
Each version of a package states the versions of Auditix it supports, chosen by its publisher (see Platform compatibility on the marketplace side). Auditix shows it as:
| Shown as | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Auditix 0.13.0 to 0.20.0 | Between both versions, included |
| Auditix 0.13.0 or later | That version or any newer one |
| Auditix 0.20.0 or earlier | That version or any older one |
| Any version of Auditix | No constraint |
The version of your instance shows at the bottom of the sidebar, and in Settings › Platform › Update.
In the catalogue and the version window
Section titled “In the catalogue and the version window”A version your instance cannot run is flagged Not compatible, and disabled in the version window with what it needs: Requires Auditix 0.13.0 or later: this instance runs 0.12.0. Update Auditix first (see Updates), or choose another version of the package.
Updates are only offered among the versions your instance can run.
When installing a file
Section titled “When installing a file”A file made for another version of Auditix is refused:
This package requires Auditix 0.13.0 or later (this instance runs 0.12.0).
Content this version of Auditix does not know
Section titled “Content this version of Auditix does not know”A package may hold kinds of content that your version of Auditix does not handle yet. They are not refused: the preview lists them (Content this version of Auditix does not handle yet, kept for later: …) and they are kept with the plugin, so that a later version of Auditix can use them. Packages holding profiles, SNMP profiles or CLI profiles need Auditix 0.13.0 or later.
